Countryside Management

We help to manage countryside sites ranging from small informal pocket parks (such as Drovers Spinney in Shefford) to larger sites with a range of facilities (such as Harrold Odell Country Park).   Clients include Sandy Town Council (which owns The Riddy Local Nature Reserve and Sandy Pinnacle and Recreation Ground), and Castle Close Wildlife & Heritage Site in Sharnbrook.

Many of our tasks are carried out by the Ivel Valley Conservation Volunteers – currently looking for new volunteers.

We are able to offer a comprehensive range of services including:

  • Community consultation and consensus building activities
  • Production and practical implementation of site Management Plans
  • Submission of funding applications
  • Funding advice and support with submitting grant applications
  • Organising and leading community volunteering events
