Eastern Community Homes have today launched their Communities Offer, which outlines how Eastern Community Homes can provide advice, support, and practical resources for local community groups to help them achieve their housing ambitions.
Eastern Community Homes is the new Community Led Housing Hub for the Eastern Region, which has been jointly established by the six rural communities charities covering the East of England (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk).
The hub will provide the support of accredited community led housing advisors to any groups in the area looking to provide housing solutions for their community through a community led approach.Ā Any community groups, parish and town councils or individuals with an interest in how community led housing could work for them can contact the hub for more information or to be connected with an advisor in their local area.
The support on offer includes aiding groups to build networks (including strengthening relationships with local authorities) 1:1 group support, and access to the Eastern Community Homes Small Grants Fund.
As part of the launch of the hub, they are running a series of five online events. The events will feature a wide variety of experienced professionals from the community led housing sector, giving you lots of information and inspiration onĀ how community led housing could work for you.Ā Some of the events are more tailored to local authorities and housing associations, others are aimed more at community groups and individuals.
