For the second time, Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity has won the ‘Community Business of the Year’ Award at the SME National Awards.
On Friday 2nd December 2022, we attended the SME National Awards Ceremony at Wembley Stadium. After winning the Positive Impact Award at the Luton and Bedfordshire Awards in September, we were up for two categories: Positive Impact and Community Business of the Year.
The awards looked to recognise those small and medium-sized enterprises that had worked incredibly hard to better themselves and those around them in a year impacted by Covid-19, the cost of living crisis, and many other challenges. For Beds RCC, this recognised the way in which Team BRCC have supported our local communities in and around Bedfordshire.
We previously won the Community Business of the Year award at regional and national level in 2020/21, so we were delighted to win the award at a national level again – especially considering we were up against so many hard-working and talented organisations.
The awards evening was held in the Bobby Moore Suite at Wembley Stadium, with a drinks reception, entertainment, and a three-course dinner preceding the awards ceremony. It was a great opportunity to meet new people from a range of businesses and learn about the positive difference they are making to their local area, as well as enjoy an evening of delicious food and entertainment.
