We were delighted with the success of yesterday’s ‘Water Water Everywhere?’ conference which we co-hosted on behalf of the Upper and Bedford Ouse Catchment Partnership. There was a great range of informative and inspiring presentations looking at the contrasting challenges of having both too little and too much water at different times through the year.

The excellent key-note address was given by Archie Ruggles-Brise of the Spains Hall Estate in Essex who is at the leading edge of water resource management, including through seeing the estate as a ‘whole farm reservoir’, agro-forestry; and harnessing the skills of a team of specialist wetland engineers – beavers!
Further details of the event, including many of the presentations given, will shortly be on the Catchment Partnership website – www.ubocp.org.uk
