A new Good Neighbour Group has launched in Milton Ernest, joining our network of over 40 Good Neighbour schemes in Bedfordshire.
On Saturday 30th March we launched our latest Good Neighbour Scheme in Milton Ernest. Pictured below are some of the committee, who have been working with our Scheme Support Officer Debra to set up the Good Neighbour group.

Good Neighbour Schemes (sometimes known as village care schemes) are set up and run by local residents who offer help and support to fellow residents of their town or village.
Beds RCC supports Good Neighbour Schemes across Bedfordshire from helping setting them up, to giving advice as they grow, and celebrating successes with them. Debra Aitken said:
I am very excited to promote the launch of this group who have been enthusiastic from our first meeting about setting up a scheme to help their community. We have had encouraging backing from the Parish Council and great support from Milton Ernest Garden Centre and the Queenās Head, who recognise the importance of community and have been invaluable in helping us to promote the group and host our meetings.
If you would like to volunteer or might need help please contact the group on 07957 968595.
