Deputy CEO, Cliff Andrews, marks two decades of dedicated service to Beds RCC. Cliff’s commitment and passion have played an integral role in advancing Beds RCCās mission to support rural communities, making him a cherished figure within the charity and with those he works with across Bedfordshire.
Since the project Cliff was working on joined Beds RCC in 2004, Cliff has been a great role-model for hard-work and making a real difference in his role.
Cliff began working in Bedfordshire in 1997 on a volunteer placement with the Ivel Valley Countryside Project and after a few months became a Project Officer. He was a Countryside Team Leader when the project became part of Beds RCC in 2004 and over the years, he has taken on increasingly responsible roles. In 2015 he was appointed as Head of Supporting Communities, and he took on the position of Deputy CEO in 2020.
Reflecting on the past 20 years, Cliff said:
I am very proud to have played a small part in the successes of Beds RCC over the last 20 years. It is great to be part of an organisation which cares about its staff and communities and fosters partnership working. Together we have delivered a wide range of initiatives which underpin personal wellbeing and community life; and this is very rewarding. Many thanks to a great bunch of colleagues ā past, present ā and hopefully in the future!

To mark the occasion, Cliff was thrown a surprise get-together with staff from across the organisation on Thursday 9th May. Tracy presented Cliff with an award to mark the 20 years, with a short speech to thank Cliff for all his hard work and dedication to the charity.
It was a great opportunity to also celebrate Cliff’s upcoming big birthday, so everyone enjoyed some cake to mark this occasion alongside his 20 years of service.
