Representatives for Time2Connect recently had the honour and pleasure to attend the Mayor’s Pride of Houghton Regis Award Ceremony. It was a fabulous event, celebrating the great work that goes on within the town and so many special services and individuals were represented and received their well-deserved awards.
Our team were amazed and delighted to receive the Mayor’s Award and to hear the wonderful citations that were read alongside the presentation. The team said that “it is a wonderful thing to be appreciated and valued for the work we do and have done and we are honoured to have received this special award for our work.”
Working with everyone at Time2Connect has been the most rewarding experience as the group has helped support so many in the local community, seeing the group and individuals go from strength to strength.

Theyāve been a lifesaver for people who live alone without family, who sit at home for days on end. They are supportive and are on hand to help. They are thoughtful and gentle. There are rules but the sessions are relaxed and the people very kind. There is a variety of activities i.e. jigsaws, Gem Art, freestyle art, games etc and is very laid back.
The group provide teas etc and there is a semi-homely feel to the place. There is the right balance of being there but not obtrusive. The ladies, and Josh are really lovely people. They genuinely want to help. They deserve to win an award.
