A big, big thank to all our Village Hall and Community Building volunteers and Management Committee Trustees. There are over a 1,000 Trustees from 190 committees looking after our community buildings throughout the Befordshire and they are supported by additional members of the public who carry out the day to day task of running their local hall.
During the pandemic our halls have had to close down and reopen several times during the various stages of lock down. All this involves putting special COVID 19 Secure procedures in place and then interpreting government guidance in order to see what activities are permitted in halls when open.
Trustees are typically older retired residents who may have been self isolating, but who have still participated in supporting their hall and providing a focal point for the community.
The year has been extremely stressful for all involved in what is a voluntary role. On behalf of your community, THANK YOU.
