Green Infrastructure
Our Green Infrastructure work supports organisations and communities in identifying, protecting and caring for their local green spaces.
Green Infrastructure (GI) is the network of natural and semi-natural spaces that provide environmental, health, social and economic benefits to a community. It can include parks, nature reserves, rivers and gardens, as both public and private land, in both urban and rural settings.
Our GI Team supports communities to develop, enhance and maintain greenspaces. Our work provides opportunities for more people to access, engage with and benefit from their local environment, while promoting nature recovery.
We offer community consultation approaches to engage and involve local residents in identifying and delivering improvements to local GI.
