Two of our longest-serving walk leaders have decided to call it a day from leading Ramblers Wellbeing Walks.
Our grateful thanks for all their volunteering go to Boo Matthews and Pat Warren, who have been successfully leading the Potton and Gamlingay walks for the last 22 years!

In that time, they have built up a very sociable group of local – and not so local – walkers, who have enjoyed a wide range of walk routes in Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough.
Pat retired from walk leading, as well as typing and printing the walk programmes, at the end of December 2025; and Boo, who devised the walk routes and acted as the main walk leader, led the group’s final walk earlier this month.
Unsurprisingly, but unfortunately for our Wellbeing Walks, their double act has proven impossible to follow, so the walkers have decided to leave the county scheme but will continue their walks as a group of friends.
Thanks Boo and Pat, and enjoy your well-deserved retirement from the Wellbeing Walks.
