The Onion Loft Community Garden

Would you like to get involved in a Community Gardening Project in Beeston?

Imagine a vibrant garden where neighbours come together, ideas flourish and nature thrives. That’s the vision – but we need YOU to make it happen!

The Onion Loft Community Garden in Beeston (near Sandy) is being developed to include raised beds and allotment-style plots to grow flowers, herbs and vegetables. We hope to plant an orchard area, make a pond and develop a meadow. We’re looking to make attractive spaces to meet with others and provide seating for relaxing outdoors.

Whether you have green fingers or curiosity and enthusiasm, there’s a place for you in this exciting journey and ā€˜The Onion Lofters’ would love to hear from you. This ā€˜Friends’ group holds regular meetings to plan and make decisions.

On site volunteers work on seasonal and varied, gardening and conservation tasks. Including, planting, pruning and weeding, construction and building, and creating a rich wildlife friendly environment.
